Pellagra

Supplements studied for pellagra.

Overview

Vitamin B3 (Niacin) (WA 40; low effect size, evidence, and trust) has high-strength evidence for pellagra. Niacin is approved to prevent and treat pellagra; daily doses of 500–1000 mg typically improve symptoms within about a week. Niacinamide, another B3 form, is sometimes used to avoid influenzashing.

This is a well-established supplement indication with high ratings across effect size, evidence, and trust. People consuming too little niacin are more likely to develop the condition.
