Amyloidosis
Supplements studied for amyloidosis.
Overview
Only Green Tea is indexed for amyloidosis, with one low-rated study (WA 40) for effect size, evidence, and trust.
Early small studies in people suggest that drinking 1.5–2 liters of green tea daily or taking green tea extract daily for a year may help stop heart wall thickening and reduce heart muscle size. This could mean slowing the disease's cardiac effects, but the data are very preliminary.
Larger controlled trials are needed to confirm whether green tea truly helps. See the evidence review below for details.
