Overview

Two supplements are indexed for age-related fatigue across two studies.

Acetyl-L-Carnitine has the stronger signal (WA 56, medium effect size, evidence, and trust). In one study, older adults taking 2 grams twice daily for six months reported roughly half the physical and mental fatigue of placebo, with post-exercise fatigue also improving.

Olive Oil (WA 40; low effect size, evidence, and trust) has unclear evidence. Observational data linked higher virgin olive oil intake to lower frailty risk over 3.5 years, but whether supplementation reduces tiredness directly is not established. See the evidence reviews below for detail.
