Overview

Four supplements are indexed for low blood pressure (9 studies). Caffeine leads with medium effect size, high evidence, very high trust, DEX Score 72 (3 studies), and may help certain forms of hypotension depending on setting and dose. Black Tea can temporarily raise blood pressure after meals in older adults with postprandial hypotension.

Green Tea evidence is mixed for the same post-meal problem. N-Acetyl Cysteine (DEX Score 32; 1 study) did not protect kidneys in people with lasting low blood pressure. See the heatmap and evidence reviews below.
