Motion sickness

Supplements studied for motion sickness.

Overview

Most of seven studies find that taking Ginger at 500 to 1000 mg before travel does not reliably prevent motion sickness, though some people report feeling better. One study found ginger worked better than a common medicine for stomach upset, and another suggested 1 to 2 grams may reduce nausea and delay symptoms during simulated motion, though that study had limits.

Evidence is rated low with medium trust overall. The evidence reviews below provide further context.
