Gamma-Oryzanol
Gamma-oryzanol is a rice bran compound used for lipids and menopause symptoms. Clinical evidence is limited.
Overview
What is gamma-oryzanol?
Gamma-oryzanol is a group of compounds found in rice bran oil and wheat bran. It is also found in some fruits and vegetables.
Oral gamma-oryzanol may reduce total and LDL cholesterol levels in some people with high cholesterol.
Dosage
A typical dose of gamma-oryzanol is 100-300 mg per day.
