Dysphagia
Supplements studied for dysphagia.
Overview
Dysphagia has one reviewed supplement: Ginger (WA 44; low effect size, low evidence, medium trust; one study). One study reported benefit from a spray containing multiple ingredients for swallowing problems, but it is not clear how much of any effect came from ginger itself rather than other components in the product.
Evidence is insufficient to support ginger specifically for dysphagia based on the available data. No other supplements in this batch have evidence for swallowing difficulty. See the heatmap and evidence reviews below for the complete entry.
