Down syndrome
Supplements studied for down syndrome.
Overview
Only Green Tea is reviewed for Down syndrome (WA 40, one study, low effect, evidence, and trust). A small trial gave daily green tea extract to children during their first three years of life and reported reduced differences in facial features compared with no extract. Children aged four years and older did not show the same improvement in that study.
Evidence is preliminary, limited to a single small trial, and does not establish broader developmental benefit. See the heatmap and evidence reviews below for the full rating and study detail.
