Gastroparesis
Supplements studied for gastroparesis.
Overview
Gastroparesis has one reviewed supplement: Apple Cider Vinegar (WA 28; very low effect size, low evidence, low trust; one study). A small trial in people with type-2-diabetes and gastroparesis found that 30 mL of vinegar daily made stomach emptying worse compared with drinking water over the study period.
More research would be needed to assess safety or any potential benefit at other doses or in other groups. Based on the available trial, evidence does not support apple cider vinegar for gastroparesis. See the evidence reviews below for details.
