Overview

Multivitamin is the sole reviewed supplement for Ebola (WA 40, one study, low effect, evidence, and trust). In resource-limited hospital settings, adults who received daily multivitamins starting soon after admission were 19% less likely to die during the hospital stay than those who did not receive supplements.

Early results suggest formulations including vitamin A and vitamin C may provide additional benefit, but more research is needed to identify which nutrients matter most and how large any effect may be. See the heatmap and evidence reviews below for details.
