Overview
L-Carnitine (2 small studies) is the only supplement studied for Rett syndrome. Trials in children suggest that L-carnitine at about 100 mg per kg of body weight daily, split into two to three doses for up to six months, may modestly improve well-being, movement skills, sleep quality, and communication compared with no treatment or placebo.
