SupplementDEX

Unstable angina

Supplements studied for unstable angina.

Overview

Garlic is the only supplement studied for unstable angina, with one early clinical investigation in patients with unstable angina pectoris. Garlicin injection was evaluated alongside conventional therapy for clinical symptom improvement and effects on plasma endothelin and blood sugar levels compared with standard treatment alone.

Garlic carries low effect-size, evidence, and trust ratings. More studies are needed before any benefit can be considered reliable for this serious cardiac condition. See the heatmap and evidence review below for trial details.
