These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SupplementDEX (https://supplementdex.com), operated by SupplementDEX(“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
SupplementDEX is an evidence-based supplement and condition reference library. We provide curated summaries, ratings, visualisations, and related educational content for personal research and, where applicable, clinical decision support.
Plans include Consumer and Practitioner tiers with different feature access, as described on our Pricing page.
2. Not medical advice
SupplementDEX is for informational and educational purposes only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Content is not a substitute for professional judgment by a qualified healthcare provider.
Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions regarding a medical condition, supplement use, or treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read on SupplementDEX.
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction).
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid memberships are billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges at the price and interval you select (monthly or annual) until you cancel.
- Renewals: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before renewal.
- Cancellation: You may cancel anytime from your Account page via the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless otherwise stated at checkout.
- Upgrades and downgrades: Plan changes may be prorated. Stripe may charge or credit the difference for the remainder of your billing period. Amounts shown at checkout or in the billing portal are calculated by Stripe.
- Taxes: Prices may exclude applicable taxes, which Stripe may collect where required.
- Payment failures: If payment fails, we may suspend access until the issue is resolved.
5. Refunds
Except where required by applicable consumer law, subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@supplementdex.com within 14 days and we will review your request.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, bulk download, or systematically copy member-only content.
- Share account credentials or resell access to the service.
- Attempt to bypass paywalls, security controls, or rate limits.
- Use the service in any unlawful manner or to infringe others’ rights.
- Misrepresent SupplementDEX content as personalised medical advice.
7. Intellectual property
The site, branding, editorial structure, ratings methodology, and original presentation are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access content for your personal or internal professional use according to your plan. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from member content except as permitted by law or with our written consent.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that content is complete, error-free, or up to date. Evidence summaries reflect our interpretation of published research at the time of review and may change as new studies emerge.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of SupplementDEX. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) AUD $100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law (including the Australian Consumer Law where it applies).
10. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be notified by email or in-product notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of courts in New South Wales for disputes arising from these Terms or the service.
